As part of worship gatherings this weekend, we had the chance to make a commitment.
The invitation was…and is…to join together as a body in times of prayer, study and fasting.
We will pray and read Scripture every day of a 21-day period [March 29-April 18], and we will each have the opportunity to engage in a personal activity of fasting. As we discussed, there are lost of ways to do this, but it is ultimately an individual expression.
We were able to utilize commitment cards this weekend to allow 3 things to happen:
1) Indicate how you intend to participate in the 21-days of Crave.
2) Solidify your resolve in this journey. Its kind of like a line in the sand.
3) Enable members of the ministry to pray for you by name throughout the journey.
If you’ve not yet decided how you will engage or if you simply didn’t take the chance to utilize the commitment card, you can contact the church directly; and we will pray for you as you crave God and seek his face in the journey.
You can do this, and I’m excited to see how God will respond!
Believing in you.

2 Chronicles 7:14
“…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Pastor Shawn, I just finished an online Bible Study for “Made To Crave” and this fits in NICELY with Heritage’s Crave series. The 21 day fast is so perfect for me (and others I am very sure) and I call it yet another God nudge for me to clean up my act with food issues. I filled out my Crave card lat night and ready to rumble!!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Before the word of “fasting”went out I had felt the need for it myself. It will be very encouraging to know on this fast that I will not be alone, but have the unity with my church as well. What a blessing already! So looking forward to seeing what the Will of the Lord is for us all. Praise Jesus!
