Well, my friends, its Good Friday, Easter is just around the corner and this is the last day of Crave.

As we draw near the end of our Crave journey, don’t forget the lessons you have learned.

What did God teach you?

What answers did He give to your questions?

How did He show Himself faithful to you?

I pray that this journey of choosing Him above other things has allowed you to encounter HIM in new ways…His presence, His face, His wisdom, His purpose, His plan, His glory!

I am so proud to be part of a community of believers who truly love God more than anything else in this world or the next!

John 21

Hands down…Chapter 21 is my favorite chapter in John. I love the whole exchange between Jesus and His disciples. These guys were still a bit confused after the whole death and resurrection thing, and they seem to have missed Jesus’ charge to live SENT in John 20:21. “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”

But here’s the thing…they weren’t doing it. Instead, they end up going fishing . These guys who had left that vocation to follow Jesus, now head back to it, which is not what he meant by saying “I will make you fishers of men.” [Mark 1:17]

They revert. So He shows up on the shore and reminds them  what it is all about…especially Peter.

What’s it about?

It is about the “sheep.” It is about the people. It is about men, women, boys and girls knowing Jesus. Nothing else matters more…not our lives, not our liberties or our own happiness.

All lost people matter to God. He’ll go to great lengths to rescue them. He cared enough to send His Son to die. He’ll leave the 99 to find the 1, and so should we.

When you don’t know what to do or are confused by what God is doing, what do you do? Do you revert to what you used to do before meeting Jesus? Do you go back to old habits and behavior, or do you press on?

Let’s stay focused on the task of living SENT.

Think about it this way. Who will meet Jesus this Easter season because you interceded for them, invested in them and invited them? What can you do to get your family and friends to come and gather with the church this weekend? Live SENT and invite them!

Heavenly Father – May the anointing of Your Holy Spirit be upon us when we gather as Your people this weekend. May You be glorified and praised as we lift high the resurrected Christ. We want to see even GREATER things than what you have already shown us. Use this weekend to draw hundreds of people to Yourself. We pray that our worship & our praise will bring glory and honor to YOUR name. Amen
