I am pumped about our next series!
The Acts: Church on Fire series was powerful, and I’ve absolutely loved seeing and hearing how the Lord has been moving in the hearts and minds of the Heritage family. However, having wrapped up that journey, we are now preparing to step into a 4-week journey we’re calling: “GO.BE.LOVE.”
This series will take us through the end of August, and we will be rolling out our missional investments and partnerships for the year as we explore the specific ways we can individually and collectively pursue “2nd Gap” investments.
Normally, we unpack our missional investments during a 2-week Global Outreach emphasis. However, this year, we’re utilizing 4 weeks to better position us to understand and engage the reality that everything we do is mission.
As a SENT people, we are all missionaries on mission; and that is a 365, 24-7 reality. And…this is a game-changer!
I look forward to digging into God’s Word together this weekend, but here’s a little more insight into the journey:
“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2
There are a lot of meaningful things we can do in this life, but none of them begin to compare to the privilege of joining a Holy God in the work that He is already doing in our workplaces, our communities, our cities and countless places around the world. As we do that, we live out the two greatest commandments and the Great Commission, which call us to love God, love others and make disciples. If we were to summarize those three things, we could do it with the simple statement: GO BE LOVE. Join us as we explore what it means to live in the transforming power of God’s great love.
- August 8/9 – Love > Bondage = Freedom
- August 15/16 – Love > Apathy = Compassion
- August 22/23 – Love > Despair = Hope
- August 29/30 – Love > Injustice = Justice
